Brian Bourassa Now there are 7 of us that have been suckered into believing the world will end on Dec. 21, 2012. Or maybe we all just really enjoy the dramatic and powerful interpretation of this prophecy.

Each percussive smash could be the explosion that sets in motion the end of our world as we know it. Tensions continue to rise as we miraculously survive each crash. The next crash must surely be the one to do us in. Apparently, in the end, there was no cause for alarm, no cause for alarm!

about

"Doomsday: How It Didn't Happen..."

"B'ak'tun 13" by Pennsylvania-based ambient guitarist/bassist/Chapman Stickist Har, was inspired by the infamous "Mayan Doomsday" predicted to occur on December 21, 2012.

Combining heavy thunderous percussion with his trademark dark-ambient guitar atmospherics, as well as vocals and sound effects - "B'ak'tun 13" is an edgy, "visually intense" piece that slowly builds to a powerful, explosive conclusion.
It is centered around the core premise of: what if the so-called Doomsday prediction was not actually intended for us, but for those who dare to return?

A video interpretation of the track is in the works, release date TBD (a teaser video can now be seen at www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrrsszf7lX8 ).

Har's music has been played on such well-known ambient/space-music radio shows as NPR's legendary Hearts of Space and Stars End, as well as online stations such as SomaFM, Progzilla Radio, Radio Spiral, and Stillstream for which he is also the former host of the weekly online dark-ambient radio show "Nightscaping Radio"
